How to Qualify 'Biblical' Resources
PLAN TO DISAGREE – BUT WITH RULES
It’s the glory of the Lord to conceal a thing, and the honor of kings is to search out a matter (Proverbs 25:2)
The more you study the entire Bible the more you’ll find to disagree with others about. God designed His book to be crystal clear on everything we needed to be saved and know how to live in this world. But it goes much deeper than that.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself will still be revealing His Word to us in the Millenial Kingdom after the other 90% of our brains have been woken up.
But we’re not meant to wait until then. As kings and priests (2 Peter), it’s a believers honor to dig into the deeper things of God.
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman tested by trial who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2:15 AMP
This is my personal rule for the teachers and speakers I choose to listen to:
- They must have a passion for studying the Bible in it’s entirety.
- They must show a clear understanding for the essentials of the gospel (salvation)
- Their personal expertise must use the whole Bible as it’s gold standard test
When we question or disagree, dig deeper in your own Bible with:
- Patience as God continues to teach you through His Word
- Loyalty to the Word and reliance on the Holy Spirit over others opinions or insights.
- Humility to remember that even when we are wholly convinced of our opinions, God may still be waiting to prove us wrong
- Love for those we strongly disagree with. We could both be wrong. Either way, the Bible never gives one instance where it’s ok to treat a fellow believer badly. How we love when it’s hardest is the barometer of our own growth.
- Wonder – that God is waiting to reveal every detail to us all Himself, bit by bit as we continue to study His word and then all at once, when we get Home.

Chuck Missler (the BOSS)
World-renown Bible Expert Chuck Missler first started teaching at the First Calvary Chapel featured in the movie, “Jesus Revolution.” Though he left us in 2017, you’ll find an endless supply of videos studying each book of the Bible and topics you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Many of todays top Bible teachers credit Chuck Missler for his incredible impact. His teaching ignited much of my passion for digging deeper too.
